We are very pleased to announce that two new projects of Sfere power quality products, AHF active harmonic filter cabinet, have been delivered under the marketing and technical support of Charter Queen Limited, a Hong Kong agent. A 200A active harmonic filter cabinet will be used in the Pak Tin Catholic Primary School Project, and another 400A active harmonic filter cabinet will be used in the TGT Hong Kong Data Centre Project.
Pak Tin Catholic Primary School Project Introduction
The current Pak Tin Catholic Primary School, located in Pak Tin Estate, Sham Shui Po, was built in 1973 according to previous planning standards and covers an area of only about 650 m². The school currently falls short of certain facilities such as general studies room, guidance activity room, assembly hall and multi-purpose area. Due to site constraint, many facilities are insufficient, in order to comprehensively upgrade school facilities, a primary school was built at Tonkin Street, Cheung Sha Wan. The scope of the project includes the construction of a 30-classroom primary school, to improve the physical conditions and facilities of school premises that are not constructed according to the prevailing standards, and the stimated cost is $358 million. The proposed new school premises is located at Tonkin Street, Cheung Sha Wan, covering an area of about 6 500 m². It will meet the planning target of providing 2 m² of open area for each student.
In order to meet the requirements of power system stability and power quality, this project used a 200A SFR-APF active harmonic filter cabinet in total. The active filter cabinet is composed of two 100A AHF modules and one 7" HMI. The filtering task assignment of the two modules is completed by setting the shunt coefficient in the HMI. The default value is to equally distribute the total harmonic content between the two modules. However, users can still set the shunt coefficient according to the actual situation on site, so as to achieve the expected effect of power quality management.
TGT Hong Kong Data Centre Project Introduction
Founded in 2004, Towngas Telecom(TGT) is a wholly owned subsidiary of The Hong Kong and China Gas Company Limited (Towngas). Adopting the company's pragmatic approach to provie quality services, TGT is a carrier-neutral telecommunication service provider with many world-class data centers and network infrastructures operating in Hong Kong and Mainland. TGT has provied fibre links and dedicated bandwidth services to reputable corporations, international network service providers and professional clients.
The world-class TGT Hong Kong Data Centre, a carrier neutral data centre, is located in Tseung Kwan O Industrial Estate, Hong Kong. It is a 5-floor independent building with a total area of 22,000 m2. The project facility is designed with an unparalleled infrastructure offering a high-availability environment with business continuity, ensuring your mission-critical operations are always secure without compromise.
TGT Hong Kong Data Centre will offer specialized, professional facility management services and robust network infrastructure along with a cloud computing platform specifically designed to meet the increasing demand for cloud based applications and software development. Through the cloud computing and services platform, collaborating with The Hong Kong Polytechnic University and Sun Yat-sen University, (also known as Zhongshan University), to provide support for developers and researchers in application and software development. Designed to support its innovation and technical support programs in energy, environment and security cloud applications.
The project uses a 400A SFR-APF active harmonic filter cabinet. The cabinet is composed of two 150A, one 100A AHF modules and a 7" HMI. The waterproof coefficient of the cabinet reaches IP41, which is a higher level in the industry. Hong Kong is located in the subtropical zone, the climate is hot and humid, and the temperature is between 25-35 degrees all year round. When the machine is running, the ambient temperature can be as high as 45 degrees. Therefore, the heat dissipation function of active harmonic filter is required to be very high. Sfere active filter cabinet, in addition to each independent module has 5 fans with the left internal heat dissipation, the cabinet itself is also equipped with exhaust fans on the back and top. The internal convective exhaust system can cope with the normal operation of the equipment even when the ambient temperature is as high as 50-55 degrees, so as to achieve the expected effect of power quality management.
The delivery of these two projects proves that the power quality products of Sfere Electric meet the requirements of large international architectural consulting companies. In the future, Sfere will continue to localize and improve its products to meet the requirements of high standards, so as to improve the recognition of our products in the international market.
